Safeguarding Instructor Training Course

This 2-day course will enable you to teach the Ofqual regulated qualifications in Safeguarding, subject to meeting the teaching qualification requirement, and is available either as a classroom-based course or by distance learning – further details on the distance learning option.

The course is suitable for those wishing to deliver the Safeguarding syllabus to schools, colleges, children’s services, healthcare professionals and others working in an environment where individuals are likely to find themselves at risk.

PLEASE NOTE: In order to attend this Safeguarding Instructor Course, you will need to hold a suitable teaching qualification or working towards gaining this qualification.

You will be required to prepare a micro teach session on an allocated safeguarding topic. The details for this will be given with your joining instructions which are emailed around 4 weeks prior to the course. (Please note, this will not contribute towards your annual monitoring requirement for first aid)

  • Indictors of abuse or neglect
  • Making judgements

  • Roles and responsibilities

  • Dealing with and reporting of allegations and complaints
  • Assessment and marking
    Qualifications you will attain from this course: (subject to assessment)
  • Instructor Certificate in Safeguarding Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults from Nuco Training Ltd
  • Level 3 Award in Principles of Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults (RQF)
    Qualification that you will be able to teach: (subject to you holding an appropriate teaching qualification)
  • Level 3 Award in Principles of Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults (RQF)
  • Level 1 Award in Awareness of Safeguarding (RQF)

  • THE MILITARY
    Nuco Training Ltd is an Approved Provider to the Military Funding Scheme of Enhanced Learning Credits (ELCs). Our Approved Provider number is 1349. This course is fundable through the ELCAS scheme. The course code is NT011.

Certification

You will be issued a Nuco Training Instructor Certificate, as well as a Level 3 Ofqual regulated certificate. It is recommended that you refresh your knowledge annually and maintain records and Continuing Professional Development.

Pre-requisites

All delegates must be a minimum of 18 years of age and must hold a suitable teaching qualification or be in the process of gaining one.
